Orb? You tell me!

This photo was taken as I was putting in a new front door on a house built in 1913 that I am remodeling. I decided on my own to move where the front door would be from where it is now and as I was tearing out the wall I found that there was a door frame already where I was going to place the new front door. Maybe this was where the orginal front door to the house was and now this "orb" came to see as a front door was being placed back into the original spot
